On Trend In London Fashion Week 2021
As if the London Fashion Week exhibitions weren’t massive enough, now they’ve thrown everything they have into a fashion week that celebrates rock n roll. This means you can expect everything from old school glamour to wild and experimental looks, everything that you could possibly imagine in one place. On the second day alone we saw the likes of the Streets and Boroughs of London taking part in what was meant to be a rousing event, and there were also many fashion forward shops setting the bar for what’s to come. The best thing about this show is that London has always been steeped in fashion, and that’s not going away any time soon. It’s something that makes us humans want to express ourselves and it’s a great excuse to get dressed up to the nines!
But what exactly is on-trend when it comes to fashion? Well, it’s probably safe to say that it’s the bright, bold colours that London has to offer. Black is a classic on-trend colour, but it’s about more than just being black. With London’s influx of young, urban designers, there’s nothing about these colours that says “cool”. Rather they exude vitality, an urban energy that says “get ready to rock & roll”.
London fashion also embraces the idea of mixing and matching with different trends. If you can mix and match bright, textured colours with a black shirt, then that’s perfectly on-trend. London fashion has always had a knack for mixing and matching, and the designers are capitalising on that now. Fashion weeks are all about taking that next step forward, so take your time and enjoy!
